To complement the current exhibition, NUMBER TWO: FRAGILE, we will be showing a 60-to-120-minute film programme on the last Wednesday of the month until summer 2009 in the screening room at Schanzenstrasse 54.

The tenth STUDIO 54 evening is the third and final part of our retrospective of the work of Bruce Nauman and Vito Acconci. Our look at these major pioneers of performance and body art concludes with "Tape 3“, the last part of Acconci’s poetic performance trilogy "The Red Tapes“, and Nauman’s "Violin Film #1“, which explores the relationship between music and performance.

1. Bruce Nauman, "Violin Film #1 (Playing The Violin As Fast As I Can)", 1967-1968 (10:54 min.)
2. Vito Acconci, "The Red Tapes: Tape 3: Time Lag", 1976 (44:18 min.)
